The Community Mission Appeal Grant Committee and Bishop Thompson have made an important decision that affects the 2016 grant cycle of the Community Mission Appeal. It was decided to postpone the grant application period until September – October of 2016 so that it can once again be aligned with Diocesan Convention. The grant period was to open in January 2016 with grants being awarded in February 2016.
Emergency grants will be offered to churches who received a CMA grant in February 2015 and planned to submit an application in 2016. Further details to be made available soon.
There will also be a change in the fundraising period for the CMA. It will now coincide with the season of Lent. All money raised for the CMA in 2015 will be distributed as emergency grants with any remaining funds to be pooled with contributions to the CMA in 2016.
