INCLUSIVE LOUISIANA INVITES YOU TO MARCH IN THE NEW ORLEANS PRIDE PARADE

Inclusive Louisiana, the LGBTQ+ and straight allies ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana, would like to extend an invitation to everyone in the Diocese to march in the 2022 New Orleans Pride Parade on Saturday the 11th of June. The parade begins at 6:00 and will proceed from Esplanade Ave and into the French Quarter. Clergy and lay alike will be marching behind a banner that reads: THE EPISCOPAL CHURCH WELCOMES YOU. Dress cool and comfortable, and we are asking clergy to wear collars in order to truly make a statement of inclusivity. The details are below.

Updated Instruction for the New Orleans Pride Parade

The instructions for participating in the New Orleans Pride Parade on Saturday, June 11 have been updated. If you plan to participate, see below. We hope you can join Inclusive Louisiana, the LGBTQ+ and straight allies ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana. Dress cool and comfortable, and we are asking clergy to wear collars in order to truly make a statement of inclusivity.

Must RSVP and Sign a Waiver to Participate – Contact Br. Todd van Alstyne at BrTodd@cccnola.org before Friday, June 10 so he can give a headcount to the parade organizers.

Day of Parade Instructions

  • In order to march, you must arrive no later than 5 pm. The parade begins at 6 pm.
  • The gathering location has changed. The lineup will be at N. Peters Street and Esplanade Avenue (near the New Orleans Jazz Museum). We will march behind float #9 (Stoli Float). Look for The Episcopal Church Welcomes You banner and Episcopal flags
