Dear friends,

I know some church and deanery teams came out to Baton Rouge and Denham Springs this last weekend to continue gutting and treating homes. Thank you very much. Please continue to inspire your churches and deaneries to partner in this important work. I am in constant communication with Together Baton Rouge and have been given a list of homes they would like volunteer groups from our diocese and outside of our diocese to work on. Please call me or e-mail me at frroldan@gmail.com if your church can assist.

Please send me an e-mail with a brief description of the work you did this last weekend and the agencies with whom you partnered. I am in the process of writing a report and I would like to give credit to all our churches for the important work they are doing.

Finally, please encourage your friends around the nation to bring teams into our area. Many in our local churches are getting tired, and it is becoming more difficult to engage local teams in clean-up efforts. Yet, the need is still great. Please remember that we have lodging at Trinity, New Orleans; Annunciation, New Orleans; Grace, St. Francisville, and St. Luke’s, Baton Rouge (only on weekends). Any groups can register at www.edola.org/flood-relief/volunteers/ Please call me or e-mail me if you have any questions.

Blessings to all,
Fr. Roldan+
