Transitions in the Diocese


The Rev. Peggy Scott has announced her retirement as priest-in-charge of St. Paul’s Holy Trinity, New Roads, and St. Mary’s, Morganza, effective July 1, 2021.


The Rev. Lindsey Ardrey has been called to serve as the lower and middle school religion teacher and chaplain at St. Martin’s Episcopal School, Metairie, effective July 5, 2021. She will be ordained to the priesthood on July 1, 2021, at St. Paul’s, New Orleans.

The Rev. Lynn Hooks has been called to serve as priest-in-charge of St. Paul’s Holy Trinity, New Roads, and St. Mary’s, Morganza, effective July 1, 2021. She will be ordained to the priesthood on July 1, 2021, at St Paul’s, New Orleans.

The Rev. Allison Reid has been called to serve on Bishop Thompson’s staff as the diocesan missioner for congregation development. She will also serve as the priest-in-charge of St. Mark’s, Harvey. She will be ordained to the priesthood on July 1, 2021, at St. Paul’s, New Orleans.

New Clergy in the Diocese


The Rev. Benjamín Sánchez was received as a priest in the Episcopal Church on June 5, 2021, at St. Augustine’s, Metairie. He will serve as the missioner for Hispanic ministries in the Diocese of Louisiana. He will celebrate his first service at St. Augustine’s at 12:30 on June 27, 2021. The Rev. Georgene “GiGI” Conner has been licensed to serve in the Diocese of Louisiana. She is a retired priest from the Diocese of Southwest Florida. She is available to serve as a supply priest.
