Children, Youth & Young Adults

Thank you for your interest in Youth and Young Adult Ministries in the Diocese of Louisiana. God's Spirit is moving in our young peoples’ lives, and it is a privilege to pray for, expect and witness this happening. The Church’s response is to provide dedicated resources to our Youth and Young Adult Ministries, and to allow space for friendships to develop in Louisiana, Province IV of the Episcopal Church, and our companion dioceses.

The Episcopal Church in Louisiana respects and includes our youth and young adults as integral members and leaders in the church. We encourage them to discover and develop the unique spiritual gifts with which God equips them to serve in their churches, schools, professions and communities. We support and nurture their eagerness to learn what God is saying to them in their lives. We help guide them in their process of exploring and articulating their faith as Christians and Episcopalians.

As we grow and expand our Youth and Young Adult Ministries in Louisiana, we thank you for your prayers, presence and continued support!

Responsibilities: Initiate, develop and oversee various programs that make up Youth and Young Adult Ministries including retreats, spiritual formation events, and camps; develop educational programming and provide support for Youth Ministers, volunteers, and clergy; support and create opportunities for youth and young adults to engage in outreach and service that promote a biblical vision for social justice; work collegially at the Provincial and National levels.
