Archives

The archives are an invaluable resource for members of the Diocese of Louisiana and historians.  They contain the official records of the diocese since its formation in 1838 as well as a rich collection of documents on the history of the diocese and the history of many of the churches in the diocese.

We welcome your historical files and stories. To share your artifacts and/or stories, contact the archivist.

The diocesan archivist is available to assist parishes in researching their parish history and in addition will provide assistance in helping to set up parish archives. All inquiries are welcome. Contact the archivist.
