  • Saturday, December 01 at 9:00 am at Christ Church (Covington), 120 S. New Hampshire St.
    Advent Experience Saturday, December 1 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. in St. Cecelia House From candles to carols, hummus to holly, and everything in between. Join us for an inter-generational exploration of all Advent has to offer. We will look at the stories, create devotionals to take home, make and sample foods that Mary and Joseph might have tried in Bethlehem. Each station is an opportunity to re-center yourself in this blessed season. Come alone, or bring the family; all are welcome! RSVP:
  • Saturday, December 01 at 5:00 pm at Church of the Nativity (Rosedale), 302 Laurel St
    Please join us on Saturday, December 1, 2018, for our annual Hayride Hootenanny Hoedown Showdown on the grounds of the Church of the Nativity in Rosedale beginning at 5:00 pm. We will have hayrides, bounce houses, face painting, hotdogs and all the fixings and an awesome bonfire with s’mores too! This is a family friendly, free event for adults and children alike!     Advent Event: On the First Sunday of Advent, December 2nd, Aleta O'Brien will lead a special hands-on Advent program for families. The Jesse Tree is a time-honored tradition that reminds us all of our family tree and of our place, along with Jesus, in the all-encompassing love of God's family. Remembering Jesus' family and our own is a helpful way to journey through Advent as we await the coming of Christ. Please bring your children or grandchildren and invite your friends and family to do so also.

  • Thursday, December 06 at 7:00 pm at St. Francis (Denham Springs), 726 Maple St
    St. Francis Episcopal Church invites you to experience the Christmas Story like never before. Join us, December 6th, at 7pm, at 726 Maple Street, Denham Springs, for The Stations of Christmas. A journey through the birth of Christ, which encourages self reflection, adoration, and reflection. Bring a friend, and share this special service with all.     Let us entertain the kids with Christmas crafts, music, games and more while you catch up on errands, shopping, or just enjoy some quiet time! The event will run from 10AM to 3 PM. The cost is only $20 per child for the day. Family discounts available.

    Dec. 16: Christmas Cookies & Reindeer Games: Our final Advent fellowship gathering is one the kiddos will love. Come decorate sugar cookies and play fun Christmas-themed games for all ages. Prizes are promised! 10 am in Witter Hall.
