It was an active summer serving God in this community, especially for those ministries and organizations that received a Gaudet Community Grant. The Gaudet Community Grant was awarded to seven organization that provide education opportunities for African-American children within the Episcopal Diocese of Louisiana. More information about the Gaudet Fund can be found here: https://www.edola.org/gaudet-fund/

Take a look below at some of the Facebook posts we found and be sure to like and follow these outstanding organizations. They are doing great things in their community.

This is a video from a performance done by Anna’s Place NOLA yesterday! This program has a diverse group of kids from all walks of life. But many of them are from of the toughest parts of New Orleans. The life expectancy in their neighborhood, the Treme, is 20 years less than the rest of New Orleans. Despite all the obstacles, these kids are thriving. Year round, this program, gives these children a safe place to learn and be kids.

Through multiple donors including Drew’s Tunes, these kids were able to participate in a 4 week music camp. Each child got individual instrument lessons, musical therapy, and much more.

I wanted to send this to all to thank you for overwhelming support you all have shown Drew’s Tunes makes a difference. You all will make a huge difference in these kids lives from years to come! Please consider joining us on 8/27! We still have general admission:

You always have a choice to move forward with love. Drew taught us that.
