In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God….And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth.
John 1:1-2, 14

These scriptures connect for the world an image of Jesus being in the beginning of beginnings. In the beginning was Jesus and Jesus was with God, and Jesus was God and Jesus came to be among us in flesh and blood. This Jesus was full of grace and truth. No other words express so profoundly what has been the beginnings of beginnings and yet are a mystery too deep to explain. Our understanding must be one of grace that becomes our truth, a truth that transforms our lives into becoming the flesh of this truth.

In this season of Christmas I pray that we awaken to the Word becoming flesh, full of grace and truth. In our proclaiming the nature of Christ the world needs to see this Christ in us in the fullness of our knowing. Being compassionate, hopeful and forgiving. Our redemption is the redemption offered to all. It is nothing to hoard. Give the love Jesus has give to you away. Share the Gift. Be who Jesus created you to be. Love one another.

Blessed Christmas.
