In a ceremony on January 7, Deacon Quin Bates and Deacon Michael Hackett were sworn in as chaplains for the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office. They are taking part in an expanded program of over 60 Jefferson Parish based clergy who work as chaplains in the correctional center or in the patrol division.

Deacons Quin and Michael are both working in the patrol division. They will ride along with JPSO officers offering counseling and prayer.
