St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Baton Rouge, Louisiana seeks an energetic
priest with parish experience to assist the Rector with preaching, teaching,
liturgical, sacramental, pastoral care, and administrative responsibilities. A
particular ministry focus for an Assistant Priest will be nurturing and
building relationships with young families in the church and the school,
helping identify and connect with unchurched school families, and helping
the church reach the community through mission, outreach, and
evangelism.
With an average Sunday attendance of around 280, St. Luke’s Episcopal
Church has responded to the call to love and serve the Lord and our
neighbors for more than 50 years. St. Luke’s is committed to caring for one
another, spiritual growth, and bringing others closer to God through Jesus
Christ. We fulfill those commitments through liturgy and worship, pastoral
care, outreach to the community, and Christian formation for all ages. St.
Luke’s Episcopal School (Pre-K through 8th grade) is our largest mission.
