Dear Brothers and Sisters,
No doubt you have heard the news about the flooding in parts of West Virginia. The damage has been horrific with many lives lost and property destroyed. Bishop Klusmeyer reports that the devastation has been widespread, even affecting those who do not live near any river or stream. I ask that you be as generous as possible in helping our neighbors recover. You may either send your gift to EDOLA earmarked Diocese of West Virginia or directly to Episcopal Relief and Development. Click here for donation page and choose the US Disaster Response Fund. Deacon Elaine Clements, Disaster Coordinator for the Diocese of Louisiana, has already been in touch with ERD and the Diocese of West Virginia regarding this matter and will assist in whatever ways possible.
Above all, please continue to pray for the people of West Virginia.
Faithfully I am,
The Rt. Rev. Morris K. Thompson, Jr.
Bishop of Louisiana
