DESCRIPTION:As we navigate this season in our national life\, we are reminded of the sacred promises that were made at our baptism and that we reaffirm every time we renew our Baptismal Covenant. \nWe proclaim together that we will “seek and serve Christ in all persons\, loving our neighbor as ourselves” and “strive for justice and peace among all people\, and respect the dignity of every human being.” \nThese words are not abstract ideals; they are daily commitments that call us to faithful presence\, courageous conversation\, and loving engagement\, especially when it is difficult. \nWith this in mind\, I invite you to a series of monthly Zoom conversations\, where we can lean into our calling as Christians\, fill our cups\, and explore how we speak truth and justice while remaining faithful in our relationships with one another. I have titled this series\, “With God’s Help: Faith-filled conversations in uncertain times.” \nI have invited a group of friends and colleagues to share in this conversation with us. We will use the five questions in our Baptismal Covenant as our framework. These gatherings are not about partisanship; they are about discipleship.
