Five years after a fire destroyed the church and school, the people of St. Matthew’s have reached the end of the rebuilding and have begun worshiping in the completed sanctuary. The first service was held on Thursday, October 29. Bishop Thompson celebrated Holy Eucharist and blessed the altar and baptismal font. The church was full with all those who call St. Matthew’s home.
December 12-13 all are invited for a weekend long celebration of the completion of the rebuilding of St. Matthew’s. More details will be posted on St. Matthew’s website, the weekly EDoLA Events newsletter, and on the EDOLA website.
