Deacon Postulant Joey Clavijo recently organized a group of Episcopalians to hand out literature from the LSU School of Public Health to encourage residents of the Gentilly Neighborhood of New Orleans to enroll in the LSU Lead Study. On Sunday, July 17, parishioners from St. George’s and Chapel of the Holy Spirit went door to door talking to residents about the dangers of lead in the water. The primary cause of lead in the water in New Orleans is from corroding lead pipes used to carry drinking water.  More information on the LSU Lead Study can be found here.
