The third annual Soul-A-Bration Silent Auction and Gumbo Gala Fundraiser on Nov. 20 from 6 to 9 p.m., at 5500 St. Claude Ave., New Orleans, will benefit the All Souls Community Center’s Scholar Success After School Tutoring and music enrichment programs for children

Admission is $25. Entertainment will be announced.

The evening will feature a silent auction, live music, complimentary drinks and food from some of New Orleans’ outstanding restaurants. This year’s Soul-A-Bration will feature a “Gumbo Cook-Off” competition in which folks will have the opportunity to taste and then vote for the best gumbo.  There will also be a silent auction with wonderful prizes to bid on.

The mission of All Souls Community Center is to break the cycles of poverty and violence by helping the children and youth of the Lower Ninth Ward achieve proficiency in reading and math, succeed in school, and become engaged citizens and leaders in their community.  All Souls further aims to create the community conditions necessary to raise healthy, successful children through parent education, community-building, and strategic partnerships.
