Roaf Ordained to Priesthood

The Diocese and Trinity Church, New Orleans, celebrated the ordination of the Rev'd Phoebe Roaf to the sacred order of priests on July 9.
 

Roaf graduated cum laude from Virginia Theological Seminary in May 2008.  During commencement, VTS honored Roaf with the Harris Award, a designation given to candidates for Holy Orders who have demonstrated academic excellence and leadership ability.  She also received the Armistead Boothe Scholarship honoring students who excel in Biblical languages.

 

Roaf will join Trinity as associate rector.

The pictures of the ordination of Phoebe Roaf are very well done. I attended that joyous event, and was very happy to re-live it in viewing the pictures. I had a similar experiece when attending the institution of Henry Hudson as Rector of Trinity Church and then viewing the pictures. Well done!
